Obituary

Jean Wieneke Hollingsworth, 89, of Denton, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at her home in Denton.
Ms. Hollingsworth was born on March 2, 1925 in Hartshorne, OK to Robert Owen and Elizabeth (Emery) Wieneke. She graduated from Hartshorne High School in 1943. She was employed at Droughton Construction Company in McAlester, OK from 1944 to 1947. In 1947 she moved to Oklahoma City to work at the State Capital. In 1956 she was employed by Dresser Industries and after 26 years, retired in August 1982. She moved to Denton, TX in 1988, where she worked for lawyers Trammell, Reece, and Welch and later for Edward Jones. She retired for the third time in March 2014. She was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church and of the Desk and Derrick Club.
She is survived by children and grandchildren, as well as, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister, Rhoda Ann Browder; brothers, Robert L. Wieneke, Frank R. Wieneke, Joe H. Wieneke, Forrest J. Wieneke.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, May 12, 2014 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 1114 W. University Dr., Denton, TX. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM in Elmwood Cemetery, Hartshorne, OK.
