Jane Tipton Pierce, 77, of Denton, died Thursday January 18, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.
Mrs. Pierce was born January 10, 1930 in Chico, TX to James Ervin and Edna Faye (Gill) Tipton. She was married to Allen Pierce on February 14, 1973 in Denton, TX.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday January 22, 2007 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. Rev. Buddy Owens will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday January 21 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Smith, Larry Richter, Jerry Todd, Zach Stone, Josh Lee, Brian Doyle.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Pierce of Denton; daughters, Gayla and Don Stone of Little Elm, Candy and Dick Kersten of Shady Shores, Dawn and Bill LaPorte of Denton; son, Ross "Skeet" and Vicki Shepherd of Decatur; stepchildren, Valerie Constentino of Waretown, NJ, Bob Pierce of Houston; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Emily Fowler Public Library, 502 Oakland St., Denton, TX 76201.
