Jane Mae Moorhead Immel
May 4, 1917 – April 16, 2008
Jane is preceded in death by two brothers, James Eli Moorhead of Rockford, IL and Dixon Doughty Moorhead of Ventura, CA, her husband, John Richard Immel of Flower Mound, TX, her son, John Kenneth Immel and her granddaughter, Nancy Lynn Howell of Flower Mound, TX.
Jane is survived by her three daughters; Pattie Howell and Pam (PJ) Immel of Flower Mound, TX and Karen Denison of Houston, TX. She is also survived by four grandchildren; James Howell of Plano, TX, Scott Howell currently stationed in Iraq, Guy Grantham of Houston, TX and Amy Grantham of Tupelo, MS. Three great-grandchildren in Plano also survive her.
Jane was born and raised in Belvidere, IL. She went to college at the University of Colorado where she met her husband, John. Upon graduation they married in 1940 and spent 58 years together until his death in 1999. She and John enjoyed many vacation trips to various parts of the world. Jane was always a fun, happy person, full of life and always loved a good joke. She was known for her artistic ability with stained glass and ceramics.
Jane was active in various community organizations like Young at Heart, Women of Flower Mound, Lewisville Lake Symphony and the YMCA Seniors. She will be missed by her family and "The Birthday Girls" of Flower Mound and "The Birthday Girls" of Dallas and her many other friends and extended family.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 19th at 11:00 AM at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Road, Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston or to her church.
