Jamie Sue Barnes, 69, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2018 in Aubrey, TX. Mom was born in Durant, OK on October 1, 1949, the daughter of James Mose Glosson and Marjorie Ruth Drake. Mom is survived by her mother Marjorie Brent of Durant, OK; brother Thomas Rice of Tulsa, OK; daughter Rebecca Smith and her husband Jim of Oak Point, TX; daughter Amy Fugett and husband Dan of Oak Point, TX; daughter April Barnes and partner David Ernst of Dallas, TX; and 5 grandchildren, along with extended family and friends.

Mom worked at Reed Elementary in Allen, TX for over 20 years where she taught P.E. to multitudes of children. She was known for her chocolate chip cookies and cakes which graced the table of the teacher's lounge and at home frequently. She deeply loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed over indulging her grandchildren during birthdays and Christmas.

A celebration of Mom's life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October, 19, 2018 at Denton Bible Church Chapel, 2300 E. University Drive, Denton, TX with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery in Durant, OK at 3:00 pm. A visitation will take place on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton.
