James Manson Sallee, 63, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2016 in Tyler, TX. James was born in Denton, TX on February 21, 1953 the son of Luther Reed and Lucille Reed Sallee. James served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps. James is survived by his daughter Kimberly Kay Dabney and her husband Kerry of Denton; sisters Velda Black of Chandler, TX and Peggy Sue Bowman and her husband Jerry Wayne of  NewMexico; Nieces Elesa Stinnett of Denton and Terri Lynn Cochrum and husband Brandon of Ponder, TX. ; Nephews Kevin Beale and wife Mary of Denton, Larry Beale and wife Sherry of Denton and Luther Read Sallee II and wife Cynthia of Ponder. James was preceded in death by sisters Vesta Sallee Smith and Jewel (Jerrie) Beale and brother Luther Reed Sallee.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 10, 2016 at 10:00am in the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel 705 N. Locust Denton, TX with burial to follow in I.O.O.F.Cemetery in Denton. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
