Obituary
James Douglas Reedy, 72, of Denton, died Friday, November 28, 2014 at home with family in Denton.
Mr. Reedy was born on December 06, 1942 in Paducah, TX to James Alvy and Estelle (Park) Reedy. He was married to Mona Lee Blalock on August 2, 1972 in Vernon, TX. Doug loved and played basketball as long as he could. He graduated from Vernon High School, attended Decatur Baptist Jr. College and University of North Texas, all on basketball scholarships. He owned and operated OC's Tree Service in Denton for 30 years with his son.
He is survived by his wife, Mona Lee (Blalock) Reedy; son, Douglas Grant Reedy and wife Yasha of Denton; sister, Melanie Hawkins of Denton; two grandchildren, D'Yanyn Reedy and Tiana Smith, one he considered his own.
James Douglas Reedy was forever faithful to family and the Word of God.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton.
