James H. Means Obituary

James Horace Means, better known as "Jim", left this life on December 8, 2021, to be with his Heavenly Father and family.  Jim was born in Hugo, Oklahoma, on August 2, 1935, to James Theldred Means and Pauline Means Hamilton.

He married Frellie Higgins in 1956, and they celebrated their 65 th anniversary this past May. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Don and Jerry Means.  He is survived by Frellie Means, two daughters, Mindy Means and Marsha Geiger, Steven Geiger, grandsons and spouses Zach and Toni Geiger, Jared and Chelsey Geiger, Trace Geiger and great grandsons Tavin, Caylum and Jesse Geiger. Jim is also survived by his sister, Doris Haynes, of Nacogdoches, Martha Sue Stroud of Greenville, and many other loving family members and friends.

Jim will be missed beyond measure and lovingly remembered for his love of family—especially "the boys", coffee visits with Whataburger friends, and his lifelong passion for singing and music.  A private memorial service was held by the family. Donations may be made to the Highland Baptist Church of Denton restoration fund.
