James Harold "Jimmy" McBee

James Harold "Jimmy" McBee, age 78, of Gordonville, TX, passed away at his home June 6, 2023.  He was born to Fred R. McBee and Margaret (Woodson) McBee on June 23, 1944 in Denton, TX. Jimmy had four brothers:  Rives, Freddie, Ronnie, and Johnny.  Jimmy and his former wife Linda Terry McBee Shaw had two sons, Mark McBee and Michael McBee.

Jimmy grew up fishing and hunting which led to his vocation as a fishing guide on Lake Texoma. Prior to this, he worked for Floyd Smith Concrete in Denton, TX, and Buchanan Printing Co. in Farmers Branch, TX.

Survivors include his sons, Mark and Michael and their mother Linda Shaw. Also surviving are brothers: Rives McBee and his wife Kay, Freddie McBee and his wife Sara, and Ronnie McBee. He also leaves behind his very best friend, Ken Swafford, along with a large extended family and many other friends.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Margaret McBee, brother Johnny McBee, and sisters-in-law Nell McBee and Jamie Temple Tate.

A memorial service for Jimmy will be held at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home in Denton, TX on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 3:00 pm.
