James Richard "Dick" Kunz, age 74, of Highland Village, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008, in Lewisville.

He was born May 11, 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee to Louis Henry Kunz and Willie Belle Gross Kunz. Dick served in the United States Navy. He married Jo McKellar on December 4, 1965 in Dallas and worked as a pilot for Continental Airlines.

He is survived by his wife, Jo; sister, Cheryl Ledford of Charlotte, North Carolina; nieces, Kristina Snow, Jill Smith, Marian Foley and Suzy Baker and by a nephew, Monty McKellar.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carthage, Texas. The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the American Diabetes Association. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville is in charge of arrangements.
