James Marvin Alsip, 61, of Denton passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at his home. He was born March 8, 1949 in Woodville, TX to James William and Lillian Lucille (Henry) Alsip. He attended Public School and was a Millman. He served in the U S Army in Vietnam. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Tucker in Dallas on November 19, 1971.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Kenny Robinson officiating. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at 11 A.M. at the Tuggle Springs Cemetery in Red River County, TX. The family will be at the funeral home on Monday, September 6, 2010 for visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Mr. Alsip is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Alsip of Denton; daughter and son-in-law, Latricia and Ken Wilkinson of Denton; sons, Brian and wife Lesa Alsip of Mineral Wells, TX and William Alsip of Fort Worth, TX; a sister JoAnn Seaman of Richardson, TX; and two brothers, Bobby Alsip of Lewisville, TX, and Toby Alsip of Roanoke, TX; and twelve grandchildren.
