Jackie Brown McKee Dayoc, 64, passed away peacefully in her home in Dripping Springs, Texas on December 27 th . She was born July 27, 1952 in Faulkton, South Dakota to Brown McKee and Penny Powers. She was raised in Denton, Texas by her parents and grandparents, Edna and John McKee. Jackie married Joe Dayoc on February 28, 2004 and has since resided in the Dripping Springs area.
Jackie earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Texas Woman's University and her Master's Degree in Development from the University of North Texas. Jackie was also an accomplished artist specializing in colored pencil portraits. She exuded creativity, whether she was drawing commissioned artwork, quilting, cooking, landscaping, or decorating her home. She infused beauty into everything she touched.
She had a remarkable ability to create beauty, warmth, and joy, and she shared these attributes with everyone she encountered. She loved her family deeply and never wanted to miss a moment of the fun when all were gathered together. All those who knew Jackie were touched by her unconditional love and acceptance. This legacy of love is Jackie's greatest gift to her family.
She leaves her beloved husband Joe Dayoc; her daughter Kristina Tucker and husband Philip Tucker; her son Tony Bonds and wife Amanda Bonds; her sister Norrie Rawdon; nephews Pistol and Tim Rawdon; eight grandchildren Caitlin, Liam, Keenan, Sophia, and Kira Kahney, Starling Bonds, Grace and Collin Tucker; and a loving network of extended family including Bill and Dawne Bonds, Betty Bonds, and the Relentless senior softball teams. Jackie is preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Bonds.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, January 3rd from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton, TX, 76201. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, January 4th, 10:00 am, Cole Chapel at First United Methodist Church in Denton. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
