Jackie Janell Hodges, 82, of Denton passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at The Atrium in Corinth, TX. She was born September 6, 1932 in Purdon, TX to Hobert and Georgia (Gan) Berry. Jackie was employed as a Driver and Houseparent at the Denton State School. She was a member of the Cooper Creek Baptist Church. She married Benny Gene Hodges on January 21, 1993 and he predeceased her.
Mrs. Hodges is survived by two sons, Jerry Brierton and wife Sylvia of Frisco, TX, William "Bill" Smith, Jr. and wife Melissa of Ponder, TX, and brother, Loy Berry and wife Beverly of Ponder, TX, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton and her funeral service on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, with Rev. Kim Broadstreet, officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooper Creek Cemetery.
