Jackie Lewis Carter, 79, of Valley View, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Texas Health Presbyterian hospital of Denton.
Mr. Cater was born on May 19, 1938 in Fort Worth to Jess and Vida (Yarbrough) Carter. He was married to Wanda Ruth Rogers on January 2, 1968 in Denton. He was retired from the Texas Woman's University.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Ruth Cater of Valley View; daughters, Vida Marie Carter of Valley View, Georgia May Carter of Denton, Pamela Carter of Carrollton; son, Jessie Carter of Valley View; sisters, Maudie Murl Murrey of Mesquite, Josie Mills of Denton; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 23, 2017 at Little Elm Cemetery, Little Elm.
