Obituary

Jack W Thompson Jr. a lifelong resident of Denton was born to Jack and Bonnie(Doyle) Thompson. Growing up Jackie (A name he adopted by his family and friends) worked with his Dad on their farm and quickly learned the ranchhand lifestyle as well as joining a rodeo circuit in his teens that took him around the ring and back. He then went on to become a lead maintenance worker for TWU and then onto UNT which he then retired from in 2004. Jack was a strong and loving kind man to his family and especially his wife Jossie Mae of 27 years. He enjoyed watching old western movies, especially anything with John Wayne, and loved football, and monster truck rallies and there wasn't an acre of Denton that Jack did not know about the history. He will greatly be missed but definitely not forgotten. He was preceded by his parents, and sister Carol Jean Thompson Davis, and is survived by his wife Jossie Mae, niece Vannette Bell, and nephew Zachariah Davis
