Glenn Preston, age 69, of Shady Shores, Texas, passed away on December 27, 2023. He was born on January 21, 1954, in Dallas, Texas. Glenn was a loving, caring husband to Margaret Preston and a devoted father to Kristi Hutchinson, Jacob Preston, and Joseph Preston. He was also a proud grandfather to Callum Hutchinson, Ellie Hutchinson, and Hestia Preston. Glenn is survived by his siblings Rose Shanahan, Carol Huffman, James (Jimmy) Preston, and Jackie Preston-Newsome. He was preceded in death by his mother, E. Marie Preston, and father, Jack G. Preston.

Glenn was employed for 41 years as a journeyman inside wireman, working for various electrical contractors through IBEW local unions 59 and 20. He was a 48-year IBEW member. He dedicated the last 27 years of his career to Morley-Moss Electrical in the DFW area. Glenn took great pride in his work and cherished projects such as John Paul II High School in Plano, TX and the Design District Apartments in Dallas, TX.  It gave him great satisfaction to mentor and teach his apprentices.

Outside of work, Glenn had a vibrant personality and was known for his sense of humor and wit. He had a talent for making others feel comfortable and was often the life of the party. Glenn had a generous spirit and always went out of his way to help others. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, waterskiing, and beautifying his property. He cherished outings with friends, attended music festivals, and enjoyed reading.

Glenn was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Corinth, TX, and found solace and strength through his belief in God. A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place on January 21st, 2024, at 2pm at 411 West Shady Oaks Circle, Denton, 76208.

Contributions in Glenn's memory can be made to Christian Community Action in Lewisville, Texas, or Habitat for Humanity in Denton, Texas. These organizations held special meaning to Glenn, and he would be honored to support their missions.

Glenn Preston will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration in the years to come.
