Jack Jordan, 79, of Mount Vernon, TX, passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 in a Flower Mound , TX.  Jack was born in Des Moines, IA on January 26, 1929 to Alvin W. and Barbara Jordan.  Jack proudly served his country and was honorably discharged as a corporal from the United States Marine Corps.  Jack spent his career in the marketing and advertising  industry including owning and operating his own businesses.  He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Jordan of Mt. Vernon, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Jordan of Irving, TX; son, Matt Jordan and his wife, Kristy of Flower Mound, TX; his father Al Jordan of Des Moines, Iowa; sister, Mari-Anne Kapp and her husband Bill of Jacksonville, FL and two grandchildren, Jack and Tess Jordan.  Jack was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Barbara Jane "BJ".

A memorial service will be held at 2:30PM, Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church in Winnsboro, TX.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America.
