J. D. Reeves, Jr. age 80 of Aubrey passed away Friday April 10, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. He was born in Aubrey, Texas on April 28, 1928 to Jeff D. and Mae (Hall) Reeves. He served  in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He married Mary Louise Rohleder June 6, 1958 in Ardmore, Oklahoma .J.D. was a retired Lead Man for LTV/ Vought Aircraft Co. Upon retirement he continued his love for farming providing home grown vegetables for his family and friends.

J.D. is survived by his wife Mary of Aubrey. Daughter Jane Morris of Collinsville, Texas. Sons Jerold Reeves of Red Oak, Texas and Jim Reeves of Denton. Sister Mary Sue Faw of Oklahoma City, Ok. 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Tuesday  April 14, 2006 at the Mulkey-Mason Chapel in Denton. Burial will follow at the Belew Cemetery in Aubrey on Hwy 377. The Rev. Buddy Owens and Rev. Sam Redfearn will officiate the service. Visitation will be 7 to 8 pm Monday April 13, 2009 at the funeral home.
