Obituary

Inell Barnett, 91, of Denton, died peacefully Saturday, April 28, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Leo on March 12, 1915 to L. S. and Corda (Hickerson) Puckett. She was married to J. Nolan Barnett Sept. 1940 in St. Jo, Texas She is a member of the First Baptist Church, Early Birds Sunday School Class, and was active in United Commercial Travelers, Eastern Star, and the West Oak Garden Club. She was employed as a Sales Clerk for Voertman's Book Store for thirty Years.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Cindy Nichols chapel of the First Baptist Church, 100 Malone St. Denton, with Rev. Cliff Feeler, officiating. Burial will follow in the Era Cemetery in Era, Texas. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral, 705 N. Locust, Denton for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Monday, April 30, 2007.

Mrs. Barnett is survived by her husband J. Nolan Barnett, of Denton, daughter Joan Kilpatrick and son in law Michael of Austin, and son James Weldon Barnett and daughter in law Beverly, of Ventura, California; a brother Paul Puckett, of Hurst, Texas and three granddaughters Kelly Skelton and her husband Jay; of Oakland, California, Katrina Barnett, and Dory Barnett, both of Ventura, California and one great grandson, Parker Nolan Skelton.
