Ina "Granny" Knowles, age 92, of Roanoke, Texas, passed away Thursday June 5, 2007 at the Denton Regional Medical Center. Ina was born in Bowie County, Texas on June 5, 1915 to Ralph and Emma (Griffin) Cain. She married Joe Knowles January 1, 1933 in Marietta, Oklahoma. Joe passed away in 1984. Ina was a Homemaker and a Baptist.

Funeral Service will be 2 pm Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the First Baptist Church, 209 N. Pine St., Roanoke, Texas. The Rev. Bruce Barber will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Prairie Mound Cemetery in Argyle, Texas.

She is survived by daughter Hazel Marshall of Roanoke, sons Leslie Knowles of Hico, Steven Knowles and Terry Knowles both of Roanoke, 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Ina was preceded in death by daughter Roxie Marshall in 1987 and son Thomas Knowles in 2001.
