Ila Verne Salmon, 91 of Denton, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at her home. She was born February 16, 1924 in Oklahoma to Charles and Hattie (Tharp) Burns. She was married to Morgan W. Salmon on September 21, 1940 in McKinney, TX and he passed away on April 16, 1986. She is a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Salmon is survived by daughters and sons in law, Judy and David Dickey of Whitehouse, Danna and Chester Cullum of St. Jo, sons, Gary Salmon and Clay Salmon of Denton. Sisters in law, Mattie Moon of Denton and Thelma Doggett of Carrollton, brother in law and wife G. A. and Sarah Salmon of Carrollton, five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Roselawn Memorial Park, Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. On line condolences may be left at www.mulkeymasondenton.com
