Ila Lynch Axtell, 89, of Denton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 23, 2014.
She was born on February 28, 1925 to Benton and Jewell Carter. She married Fred Lynch on November 2, 1941. They shared 40 years of marriage together. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Ila was a housewife, as well as, in the family business. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Mark Lynch of Aubrey and wife Jeri; one daughter, Carolyn Cantrell of Denton; daughter-in-law, Jenett Lynch of Aubrey; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bill, Dale, and James;
her first husband, Fred Lynch; two children, Mary Lynch, and Freddie Lynch. She is also preceded in death by her second husband Frank Axtell.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25th from 6 pm to 8pm at Mulkey-Mason funeral home in Denton. Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 26th at Gateway Baptist Church with Brother Buddy Owens officiating.
Ila will be laid to rest by her husband, Fred at Green Valley Cemetery in Aubrey. The family would like to thank Kate and Emily and the staff at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
