Hudson Reeves "Bill" Williams was born at home to Arthur Filmore and Frazier Rose (nee Reves) Williams on January 30, 1928 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the youngest of eight children –six girls and two boys. In 1944, at the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the Pacific Theater. He was Honorably Discharged in 1948. After leaving the military, Bill met and married Dorothy Avon Peart. Together they had three children: Christine (Chris), Jeffrey (Jeff) and Valerie (Val). They were married for 15 years. Then in 1969, Bill wed Sandra Gailey from Davis, California. Together, they have five children: Rose, Catherine (Kate), Veda, Cade, and Arthur.

In 1980,  Bill and his family moved from Idaho to Texas where he was employed by FEMA. He retired from government service in 1990. Since then, much of his time was spent conducting Family History research on-line as well as writing extensively to various cousins and second-cousins throughout the United States. He was an active member of his local congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his spouse, eight children, 30 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 14th, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3000 Old North Road, Denton, TX.  Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with the service following at 11 a.m.
