Obituary

Howard William (Bill) Bradt of Lake Dallas passed into his eternal rest on Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Atrium Medical Center in Corinth. He was surrounded by family. He was born on September 4, 1936, in Ray, AZ, to Howard Milton and Alice Olivia Alexander Bradt. Both parents preceded him in death.
Bill came to Texas in 1955 to attend LeTourneau College in Longview. He wanted to learn all he could about the diesel engines and heavy equipment that moved the ore in the Arizona copper mines. He met and married Anna Ross in 1957. After college they moved to the Dallas area, making their home in Lake Dallas in 1964. Bill worked for Chemical Express until about 1973. He then became plant manager of Andes Metal Processors in Lewisville. He retired in 1991 and he and Anna spent several years in New Mexico and Arizona in their RV. They came home to Lake Dallas in 1999 to be near their family.
Bill attended Lake Shore Baptist Church and was a member of the Lewisville Masonic Lodge #201 A.F.&A.M.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anna; daughter Debra and husband, Marty Blanton of Sanger, son Keith and wife, Amy of Aubrey, daughter Carol Galloway of Corinth; and grandchildren, Ryan White of Los Angeles, CA, Aaron Galloway of Loveland, CO, Megan Krause and husband Brian, Rachel Roberts and husband Craig, Jordan Galloway and Kaitlin Bradt, and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister and brother in law, Phyllis and Charles Comte of Seattle, nieces and nephews and many beloved family members and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, October 24 from 6-8pm at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton, TX. Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, October 25, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Lake Shore Baptist Church, 276 E. Hundley Dr., Lake Dallas, TX with burial following at Swisher Cemetery, Shady Shores Rd., Lake Dallas. Masonic graveside rites will be observed.
