Helen "Bodie" McCaffrey passed in Denton, TX Thursday, October 31, 2019 at age 73.

Born in 1945 in Washington, DC, Bodie started Nursing with the US Air Force and switched careers to Mechanical Engineering. Receiving her Engineering degree at Rochester Institute of Technology, she then worked at Delphi/General Motors in Rochester, NY until retirement. She moved to Denton in 2016 to be closer to her son and his family.

Forever strong, independent, and fiercely stubborn, Bodie's life long loves were music, her family, pets, friends and her adoptive hometown of Rochester, NY.

Bodie is preceded in death by her parents Eugene Peter and Helen (Mullen) McCaffrey. She is survived by her Son David, his wife Lisa, and granddaughter Brianna of Denton, TX. Her sisters, Mary Ellen and her husband Milton Clegg, Elizabeth "Jane" and her husband Arthur Elkin, Regina and her husband William Lundy, brother Eugene "Peter" and his wife Joann, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and a great many friends.
