Helen Dare Houdek, 86 of Denton, passed away on September 9, 2014 at her home. She was born November 16, 1927 in El Dorado, TX to Oran Millow and Leona Salome (Stewardson) Nicks. She was married to Albin Houdek on July 21, 1950 in Fort Stockton, Tx. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church, SWC American Ceramic Society, Opti-Mrs., Sunday School and various church committees.
Mrs. Houdek is survived by her husband Albin of Denton, daughter Shelley Lynn Minnis of Coppell, sons Dr. Robert David Houdek of Denton and Scott Alan Houdek of Dallas.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 from 4:30 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Funeral service will be on Saturday at 10 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 291 S. Locust St. , Denton, with Dr. Don Lee, officiating, followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
