Helen Jane Roberts Courtney, 81, of Denton, died peacefully Monday, October 1, 2007 at Autumn Leaves Care Center in Carrollton. She was born October 16, 1925 in Denton, to Pat Neff and Essie (Hughes) Roberts. She was a graduate of McKinney High School, and TSCW (TWU) in 1948. She was married to Robert Chilton Courtney, Jr. on June 7, 1948 in Denton. He died July 6, 1999. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 5, 2007 in the Cole Chapel of the First United Methodist Church, 201 S. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Lisa Marshall, officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, for visitation from 7 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, October 4, 2007 Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association Greater Dallas Chapter, 7610 N. Stemmon's Fwy. Mrs. Courtney is survived by three sons, Pat Courtney of Denton, Robert C. (Robin) Courtney, III of Farmers Branch, and Cory H. Courtney, of Jacksonville, Fla. And Seven Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, and a brother Pat Neff Roberts, Jr.
