Helen Yvonne Cochran age 64, of Krum went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Presbyterian hospital of Denton.  After a two year battle of cancer.

Helen was born on March 25, 1944 in Denton, TX to Jack and Helen (Upchurch) Smelley who both preceded her in death.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

Helen was a loving wife to Floyd Cochran for 48 years.  They were married in Marietta, Oklahoma on July 16, 1960.  She was a caring mother to five daughters, Cookie and husband Fred McCormick, Squickie and husband Ron Gourley, Donna and husband Ted Meek, Lena and husband Ernest Schockley, and Laura and husband Charles Buris.  She was Granny to ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and one due in September.

Larry Driver will officiate the service, which will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 18, 2008 at Landmark Baptist Church at 5th and Cherry St. in Sanger.  Burial will follow in the Bolivar Cemetery in Bolivar.  The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home 705 N. Locust St.  Denton, from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Sunday, August 17, 2008.
