Hazel Mae Thompson DeGarmo, age 90, of The Colony, Texas, passed away August 29, 2006. Mrs. DeGarmo was born September 13, 1915 in Newark, Ohio to Oscar Thompson and Emma Mae Moorman Thompson. Hazel retired from the Lewisville Independent School District working in the cafeteria. Hazel is survived by three children; Karen Mae DeGarmo Dolezal and husband, Jerry of Bolivar, Ohio, Earl Homer DeGarmo and wife, Dianne of The Colony, Texas and Donald Paul DeGarmo, Jr. of Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania; sister, Geraldine Maurer of Mansfield, Ohio, brother, Reverend O.J. Thompson, Jr., and wife, Beverly of Smithville, Ohio and Earl Thompson of Bullhead, Arizona: grandchildren, Kelly Sullivan, Stacy Setlak, Don Paul DeGarmo, III, Robert Earl DeGarmo and Debra Ann DeGarmo and five great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church of The Colony. Interment will follow in The Little Elm Cemetery.
