Hattie Klein, 91, of Denton, died Friday August 19, 2011 at Senior Care Center in Denton.
Mrs. Klein was born on June 30, 1920 in Denton, TX to Ernst and Bertha (Pehde) Schultz and has lived all of her life in Denton County. She was married to Edward W. Klein in Fort Worth on January 15, 1941. She was a member of the Blue Mound United Methodist Church and also worked for J.C. Penney Company for many years.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday August 22, 2010 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday August 23, 2011 at Blue Mound United Methodist Church, 8421 I-35 N, Denton, TX 76207. Interment will follow at Blue Mound Cemetery. Rev. Carroll Caddell and Rev. Larry Kruger will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be John Smith, Bobby Schultz, J.B. Haisler, Monroe Klein, Freddie Schultz, Aaron Klein. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Trietsch and Melvin Haisler.
Mrs. Klein is survived by her daughter, Carol Smith and her husband Emmitt of Lufkin; son, Kenneth Klein of Denton; grandson, Emmitt Smith, III and his wife Monica of Lucas, granddaughter, Jeana Lee-Ann Smith of Allen; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hunter, and Emma Smith, all of Lucas; brother, Robert Schultz of Dallas. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Klein was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Klein, two sisters and two brothers.
