Obituary

Harry Bertram Carter, 76, of Sanger, died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at his home.  He was born July 30, 1932 in Houston, Texas to Harry Clyde and Frances Elizabeth. (Yale) Carter.  He was retired from the Heating and Air Conditioning Maintenance Department of the University of North Texas.  He was married to Ethel M. Chambers on January 15, 1952 in Houston.  He Graduated High School and attended the University of Houston.  He served in the U. S. Army from 1950 to 1953, and received a Purple Heart.

A Graveside funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Roselawn Memorial Park, with Dr. Skip McNeal, officiating.  The family will receive friends at their residence.  Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Sanger, TX 76266 Building Fund.,   Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, in Charge of arrangements.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Ethel M. Carter, of Sanger, three sons,  Cliff Alan Carter, Craig Harry Carter, and Eric Holt Carter, all of Denton, and a sister Edith  Carter, of Charlotte, N. C.  Four Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren.
