Harrell Sherburne Osborne, 98 of Denton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 9, 2005 at his home. He was born August 28, 1907 in Cordell, Indian Territory, Oklahoma to Mason and Mary Jane (Sherburne) Osborne. He attended Public schools and Baylor University and played football. He was married to Edna Morris on September 7, 1929 in Junction, Texas, she died June 30, 1982, then he married Cora Elizabeth (Liz) Stautzenberger on October 15, 1983 in Denton. He was a member of the Southmont Baptist Church, and was the Owner of the Osborne Grocery Company. He was very active in many endeavors of the city of Denton.

A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, September 13, 2005 in the Southmont Baptist Church, with Dr. Larry Reynolds, officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 7 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday, Sept. 12, 2005. Pallbearers will be Blair Stautzenberger, Erik Barton, Richard Johnson, Scott Osborne, Coy Sturdivant, and Jack Carlisle. Memorials may be made to Buckner Baptist Benevolence, 600 N. Mr. Osborne is survived by his wife Liz Osborne, of Denton, two daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel and Bruce Lindgren, of Denton, Mary and Tom Tisher, of Denton, and grandchildren Steven Lindgren, of Denton, Scott Lindgren, of Corinth Christy Tisher, of Denton, Carrie Barton, of St. Louis, MO, Kimberly Faulkner, of Denton, and Chrissy Mallouf, of Denton, Great Grandchildren, Jason Lindgren, Noah Barton, and Zackary Barton, and Madison Mallouf.
