Happy Kyle Finnell, 69, passed away peacefully on, April 1, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Kyle, as he liked to be called, was a talented Manufacturing Engineer who graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of North Texas. He was known for his passion for golf and was an award-winning amateur golfer. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling to Arkansas and Colorado, camping, trout fishing, and watching his grandchildren grow up.
Kyle had many hobbies including camping, fishing, golfing, bowling, coin collecting, bird watching, and gardening. He was a nature lover who found joy in the simple things in life.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and David Melton, grandchildren, Brooklynn and John-Ezra, siblings and their spouses Kevin and Lonita Finnell, John and Cathy Finnell, Glenn and Jennifer Finnell, Sam and Nancy Finnell, and Summer and Dan Shaud.
Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Happy Enete, his father and mother, Billie and Janice Finnell, and his wife of 35 years, Sharon Finnell.
Kyle will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His memory will live on through the stories and memories shared by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Kyle's life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, 10:00 am at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton, TX 76201.
Rest in peace, Dad. You will always be remembered and cherished in our hearts.
