Grady R. McEuin, Jr. 67, on July 23, .2010 surrounded by family members, passed from this earthly life to his eternal life with Jesus in peace. He was born December 28, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to Grady R. Sr. and Della Armanda (Travis) McEuin. He had suffered for many years of health issues, including diabetes and multiple surgeries. He loved playing with his grandchildren, and going places with his wife, attending his classmates meetings and reunions as well as collecting an assortment of items. He was married to Dottie Lewis in Denton on March 25, 1967. He was a 1961 graduate of Denton High School and attended North Texas State University (now UNT). He had worked for the Southland Corporation, 1965-1971 owner of Denison Glass and Mirror, Inc. in Denison, TX, 1985-1987 co-owner of Denton Glass and Mirror, Inc. having worked in the family business since his youth. From 1987-1997 he was the glazer for Denton I.S.D. maintenance department before his medical retirement. He had been a member of the Denison and Denton Jaycees and the Denton Chamber of Commerce and an active member and youth worker at the First Baptist Church for many years. He was very active in planning reunions and meetings with his Denton High School Bronco Graduates.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in the First Baptist Church, with Ken Cartwright and Gerald Stone, officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the Mulkey Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton for visitation on Monday, July 26, 2010 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Denton Public Schools Foundation; Class of 1961, or favorite charity of choice, or to Grady McEuin Memorial Fund, %First State Bank, to assist with expenses. Pallbearers: Paula Snelling Wilbanks, Karen Kearns Harper, Don Edwards, Tommy Davis, Dean Moore, Dwight Dooley, Gary Hayes, Ray Erwin, and James Killingsworth.
Grady is survived by his wife Dottie Lewis McEuin of Denton, his children and spouses and children, Son Grady Raymond and Kari McEuin, III of Denton; Raena Gayle and Brayden James McEuin of Sachse, TX Grayson Riley and Kaleb Matthew McEuin of Denton, TX Alexander Kent and Lindsey Alissa Borland of Richmond, VA. Daughter Malinda Gayle and Jason Yeargain of Sherman, TX Levi Michael, Cole Taylor, and Chase Allen Mabry, Patrick and Tyler Yeargain. Son James Allen and Courtney McEuin, Hasten Lewis and Kydwyn Makenna McEuin all of Louisville, KY. Son Ryan Earl and Annie McEuin, Caroline Lynn, Shane Austin, and Dylan Timothy McEuin; Kera Jewel and Kamryn Jenae Biggers all of Rhome, TX Sisters: Linda Kaye Salmon (C.R.) of Argyle and Patsy Jean (Pinky) Jones of Denton. Grady was preceded in death by his mother and father, Pat Travis McEuin and Grady R. McEuin, Sr. his parents in law, Josephine Malone and James Allen Lewis, and his grandson Tristan Eliot McEuin.
