Grace "Lorene" Jemison, 80, of Lewisville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, December 7, 2009. Lorene was born July 8, 1929 in Troy, NC to Rev. Clon C. and Pearl Mae Brown. She was a former school teacher. Her education included graduating from Trevecca Nazarene College, and The Women's College of The University of North Carolina. Lorene was very active in the Arlington Bible Missionary Church. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Danny Jemison; daughters, Melinda Jemison of Lewisville and Carol Wadsworth of Forth Worth; grandchild, Kate E. Wadsworth; sisters, Laverne Rook of Greensboro, NC and Delorus Homer of Green Valley, AZ; brothers, Willard Brown of New York, NY and C.C. Brown of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Kate E. Wadsworth, and many relatives and friends. Visitation was held Friday evening. Funeral service is Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 10am in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff of Cross Timbers Care Center, Mercy Hospice and Dr. Patel for their compassionate care of Lorene and her family.
