On the morning of December 18, 2024 at the age of 78, our mother Gloria Cantu Sandoval peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home, where she is reunited with many loved ones, most especially the love of her life, our dad Jose Matias Sandoval Sr. and our brother Jose Matias Sandoval Jr. daughter-in-law Pamela Sandoval.

Born on July 10, 1946 to Pedro Cantu and Elvira Alaniz in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Gloria is survived by her daughters Elvira Romero (Cipriano), Cynthia Moore (Michael), Ana (Jessica), and son Robert Sandoval. Thirteen grandchildren, Kristine Sandoval, Leslie and Alyssa Bello, Jose M Sandoval III, Kimberly and Faith Sandoval, Chaz and Seth Sandoval, Ashley Reynolds, Jasmine Reyes, Austyn Colston, Christopher Navarrete, Julian Navarrete, sisters Elida Reyes and Ida Galvan. Eighteen great-grandchildren and one on the way. Many nieces, nephews and extended family.

How lucky are we to have loved and been loved by someone so silently heroic, and to have the impact on our lives of this truly beautiful soul, Gloria Cantu Sandoval!

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2024 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. Gloria's final resting place will be at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas, Texas.
