She was born July 10, 1939 in Vernon, Texas to John and Edith Bibb Maxwell. Glenda married Gayle Johnson on November 26, 1955 in Grandfield, Oklahoma. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisville.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Gayle; son; Mike Johnson and wife, Tommie, grandchildren, Clay Johnson and  Jenna Kay Johnson of Keller; sisters, Wanda Pipkin and Nelda Riddle of Bowie and Vanita Thomas of Flower Mound; brother, Stan Maxwell of Vashti along with many other loving family members and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant sons, Larry and Barry Johnson.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Lewisville. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Vashti Cemetery in Vashti, Texas. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. The family requests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church; 1251 W.
