Gina Rivera, age 47, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 20, 2007, surrounded by her loving family, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was born October 21, 1959 in El Paso, Texas to Cecil W. and Olivia Martinez Phillips. Gina married Albert Rivera, III on March 12, 1999 in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Andress High School in 1978. She was the store manager at Jay's Hallmark in Corinth. Gina was a General Manager of a HomeTown Buffet in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and El Paso, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Albert, daughters, Victoria Leigh Rivera and Samantha Ruble; son, Miles C. Rivera; grandchild, Zoe Johnson, sisters, Debbie Buckaloo, Tammy Light and Rhonda Greenberg; brothers, Cecil Phillips and Robert Phillips and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gina was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Phillips.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2007 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Carrollton. Interment will follow in Flower Mound Cemetery in Flower Mound, Texas. The family will receive friends from
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, with Rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. at
Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. The family request memorial contributions be made to Odyssey Home Health Care, 5440 Harvest Hill Road, Suite 200,
Dallas, Texas 75230. The Rivera family wishes to express their appreciation for all of the love and support shown during Gina's illness.
