Gilbert Escamilla,47, born on November 14, 1969 went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on June 6, 2017. Gilbert was very brave in all aspects of his life and it was no different with his last battle. While he lost his battle on earth, Gilbert won his eternal life with the Lord. Those of you that knew Gilbert, all know he was all about his family and a very loyal friend. Gilbert did not want us to mourn him but to celebrate his life. He was extremely courageous until the very end. Although, Gilbert will be severely missed but he is at peace now. He was a loving, hardworking father of 3. He will be welcomed by his beloved pet Dallas and by grandparents Abel and Maria Escamilla and Josephine Sanchez, who precede him in death. Survived by his loving wife Melissa Escamilla, daughter Brooke Escamilla, sons Cassel Breed and Bryson Escamilla, parents Abel and Yolanda Escamilla, Sister Sylvia Smith and husband Kent, sister Alice Sanchez and husband David, sister Veronica Aguirre, brother-Jaime Escamilla, 12 nieces and nephews and 2 grandchildren, host of aunts, uncles, cousins and loyal friends.
A visitation for viewing will be from 6-8 pm on Thursday June 8, 2017 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Friday June 9, 2017 in the Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home chapel with burial following at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
