Geraldine "Jerry" Looper, 87, of Denton, died Tuesday October 12, 2010 at her home in Denton.
Jerry was born on May 4, 1923 in Italy, Texas to William P. and Clara Vernon (Griggs) Rowin. She was married to Wilson P. "Will" Looper on March 21, 1946 in Dallas, he died on December 23, 2003. She was a member of Cooper Creek Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday October 14, 2010 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday October 15, 2010 at Cooper Creek Baptist Church, 4582 Fishtrap Rd, Denton, TX. Dr. Rick Montgomery and Rev. Pat Bush will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Jerry is survived by her daughter, Julie Howell of Denton, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cooper Creek Baptist Church.
Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son is in charge of arrangements.
