Gerald Doran Higdon, 82, of Denton, died Wednesday March 22, 2017 at his home in Denton.
Mr. Higdon was born on October 10, 1934 in Santa Maria, CA to Charles Osborn and Mamie Ruth (Moore) Higdon. He was married to Patsy Lea Jones on September 6, 1957 in Odessa. He graduated from Odessa High School. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Higdon Masonry.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy L. Higdon of Denton, children, Gerald D. Higdon, Jr. of Houston, Danny A. Higdon of Austin, Kathy L. Kelly of Carrollton, Rebecca R. Burr of Denton; sister, Billie June Cox of Weatherford; brother, J.T. Terry of Caldwell; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kristopher A. Higdon; brother, Charles O. Higdon, Jr.; sister, Evelyn R. Coker.
A graveside service will be held at 10:15 am Tuesday March 28, 2017 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
