Obituary

Georgia Faye (Reynolds) Sweatman, 89, a lifelong resident of Denton, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in Denton.
Mrs. Sweatman was born on February 22, 1927 in Roanoke, Texas to Samuel Lafayette and Cynthia Ann (Smith) Reynolds. She was married to Ernest Powell Sweatman, Jr., deceased, on July 14, 1962 in Denton. She worked for Moore Business Forms more than forty years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in choir and worked with young people for many years; she also attended Full Gospel Church and attended Fellowship Life Church for several years. She was a graduate of Denton High School and studied at Texas Woman's University.
Georgia was the last survivor of ten siblings. Georgia was greatly loved and is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as loving neighbors and many close friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 10, 2016 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Denton.
A few words from Georgia herself: "I was happiest when I could help others. I truly enjoyed my walk with the Lord and how He blessed me. Hold up the name of Jesus if you want a blessing. Tell others what He has done for you and help someone every day. Love is everlasting."
