George Buel Royston, born July 3, 1931 to George Albert and Cleavy Matilda Royston in Wise County, Texas. He joined The Supreme Architect of the Universe, His Savior Jesus Christ, and his son Robert Wayne Royston on April 21, 2007. Preceded in death by his parents, son Robert, four brothers Bill, Olen, John and Ralph. He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years Betty, son Jimmy, grandson Aaron, granddaughter, Bethany, daughter-in-law, Helayne, granddaughter, Megan, great granddaughter, Madison, sister, Ruth, brother-in-law, Jimmie and wife Betty, brother-in-law, John and wife Patty, nieces Sheri, Brandi, Allison, Kelly, Pam, Cindy, nephews John, Jr., Cody, Alvin, Brad, Marvin, David, Tony, and Lloyd and several great nieces and nephews and numerous friends. He was a resident of Lewisville, Texas for forty six years. He served the community as a member of the Lewisville Masonic Lodge #201, 32º Scottish Rite, and Shriners for over fifty years. He was also active with the Veterans of Foreign Wars as a volunteer for over forty years. He was a volunteer fireman for thirty years. He retired from General Telephone Company in 1991 with forty years of service. Funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at First Assembly of God, 425 W. Purnell in Lewisville. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lewisville Masonic Lodge #201, 603 Manco Rd., Lewisville, Texas 75067.
