George E. Reaves, 84, died December 24, 2016. He was born July 27, 1932 in Lorenzo, Crosby Co. TX to Oran Reaves & Mamie Louise Hash.

George served during the Korean War in the Signal Corp. His unit served First Army Headquarters, Governors Island, NY; he was a projectionist.

He married Lenora McEwen in 1957 in Eugene, OR.

For over 32 years George owned and operated the Denton Center Cleaners.

He was a long time and faithful member of the Singing Oaks Church of Christ.

As a member of the High Noon Lions Club of Denton George had perfect attendance from 1961 to 1996 and held offices as Tail Twister & President. Bowling was one of his favorite pastimes and he accumulated many awards.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and stepmother, Minnie Mae Reaves; & his brother Oran (Butch) Reaves.

He is survived by his wife, Lenora; son, Vance and wife Jana; son, Kendal (Ken) and wife Jenny; six grandchildren, Aislyn, Maddie, Elyssa, Levi, Garrett and Cailin. He is also survived by his sister, Shelia Love as well as many other family members and dear friends.

Memorial Service to be held at Singing Oaks Church of Christ Wednesday, December 28th at 3pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests any memorials be given to the Food Pantry or World Bible School at Singing Oaks Church of Christ, 101 Cardinal Lane, Denton, TX 76209.
