Obituary

George Jewell Morrow died peacefully at home on August 21, 2013, 3 day shy of his 75th birthday. He was born August 24, 1938 in Iberia, Missouri to Jewell Theodore Morrow and Brownie Lind Morrow. George married the love of his life, Linda Gail Wallen, on December 4, 1965. He worked for the Computing Center at the University of North Texas for 25 years, retiring in 1999. He loved fishing, making people laugh, and most of all spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted member of First Christian Church of Denton, where he was recently named Elder Emeritus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wanda Bunker. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Morrow; two sons, Don Morrow & wife Laurie of Cave Springs, AR and Andrew Morrow of Gainesville, TX; four grandchildren, Cassandra, Zachery, Rachel & Jacob; one great grandchild, Faith; one sister, Carole Cudd & husband James; and many nieces & nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 31 at First Christian Church in Denton, with visitation to follow. Rev. John Burton, officiating. Memorial gifts may be made to First Christian Church, 1203 N. Fulton. On line condolences may be left at www.mulkeymasondenton.com
