George Sweeney Hudgins, 75, of Denton passed away peacefully on October 5, 2020. George was born in Richmond Virginia on February 17, 1945 the son of Walter Hudgins and Louise George Hudgins.

George is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Roberta Jean Bartley Hudgins; sons Scott Hudgins of Denton, TX and Robert Hudgins and wife Tammy, and grandsons Ryan and Tanner of Decatur, TX, and one brother Richard Hudgins and wife Anita of Seneca, South Carolina; two nieces and one nephew.

George graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1967 and then attended and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological seminary in May of 1973.

A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God, Denton, TX with Rev. Randy Snow officiating.
