Gary Carlyle Shafferman passed away on August 19 following a lengthy battle with multiple myeloma.  He was born in Fairmont, WV on July 19, 1938, an alumnus of EFHS Class of '56 and an undergraduate of Fairmont State University.  Post graduate studies included University of Colorado, Sydney School of Banking, and Eckerd College, amongst others. After college, he joined Household Financial Services where he worked for thirty-three years in various cities throughout the U.S. and Australia retiring in September 1991. After retiring from HFS he spent three years as senior vice president with The Associates of North America and then started de novo Retail Credit Solutions! , Inc. a management consulting business which he operated for 15 years. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed not only the participation but the camaraderie shared with his friends.  He was an active member of St. Ann Knights of Columbus Council #10245 and Notre Dame Assembly #2144. Gary is survived by his wife, Martha; three children: Jennifer Shafferman; Gary Shafferman II and spouse Terri; Debbie Shea and spouse Michael; 5 grandchildren, Trey, Chad and Molly Shafferman, Tara Shea Jones and Kasey Shea; sister, Peggy Garrett. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. with Rosary at 7:00 PM, Sunday, August 23 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, Lewisville, TX.  Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 24 at 2:00 PM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 180 Samuel Blvd, Coppell, TX.  Burial will be in Morgantown, WV.  In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored with a donation to St. Ann Knights of Columbus, Gary Shafferman Memorial Fund, 180 Samuel Blvd., Coppell, TX  75019
