Gary Don Carrington, 62,  of Justin, TX went to be with his Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ, on May 12, 2026 after a long & courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in 1963 in Athens, TX. and was the only child of Dennis R & Judy Carrington who preceeded him in death. Gary was an active member of First Baptist Church in Ponder, TX until he became to ill to serve. He loved the Lord and loved to sing praises to him.

He graduated from Sherman High School and went on to receive  3 Bachelor Degrees for various colleges. He worked for many years in the defense & space industry and retired from Lockheed Martin in December 2025.

He was preceeded in death by his parents Dennis R. & Judy Carrington, grand parents Dennis M. & Rosemary Carrington,  aunt and uncle, Marilyn and Tom Benton and uncle, Gene M. Fields.

He is survived by aunt Jemmy Fields of Tyler, TX , aunt and uncle Beverly and Randy Goff of Poetry, TX, and friends and extended family.

Per Gary's wishes his body was cremated and his ashes scattered and there will be no memorial service.
