Gary Dean Barnes, 75, died peacefully Sunday, December 22, 2019, in Denton, Texas.

He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Smith, her husband Jim Smith and grandkids Drake, his wife Teresa and Elaina; his daughter Amy Fugett, her husband Dan Fugett and granddaughter Katelyn and her husband Ryan; his daughter April Barnes, her partner David Ernst and grandkids Samantha, Lauren, Ryan and Darian; his brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Linda Barnes, sister-in-law Doris Barnes, and many nieces and nephews.

A native of Ringling, Oklahoma, Gary played football and basketball and was a welder in high school and college.  He taught school and coached in various locations until settling in Allen, Texas, where his passion for photography became his profession. Gary loved travelling, photography, the mountains, food, woodworking and playing with his grandkids.

His celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10:00am at the  Denton Bible Church Chapel with Pastor Jim Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling, Oklahoma.
