Obituary

Garwin Wayne Mauldin went peacefully to be with his Savior on the evening of December 3, 2022 surrounded by his family at the age of 72. Born to Sidney Clive and Eddie Ruth Mauldin on May 19, 1950 in Brownwood, TX, Garwin's parents would move him and his siblings, Lynn and Karen, to Kerrville shortly thereafter. Garwin would remain there until his graduation from Tivy High School in 1968. His days in Kerrville were spent at his father's boot shop or with his close friends, Sam and Jerry. At Tivy High, Garwin was known for his musical talent as a trumpet player in the school band. After high school, Garwin began his career in technology, moved to the Dallas area, and had his first child, a daughter named Tara. In all, Garwin would have one daughter and three sons who all remained in the North Texas area.

Garwin was known as a hard worker by his colleagues, and, by God's grace,  was able to continue the work that he enjoyed until his death. He was loved by family and friends alike for his kind disposition, his desire to provide for his loved ones, and his sage and timely advice. He is survived by four children (Tara, Aaron, Doug, and Brian) and seven grandchildren.

Our father's faith in his Almighty Savior was realized, and we, along with Garwin's family and friends, rejoice that he is safely in the arms of Jesus. Please join us at 2 o'clock on the afternoon of January 23 for a celebration of Garwin's life at Denton Bible Church, 2300 E. University Drive, Denton, TX 76209.
