Freida Marzell Hutson, 74, of Denton, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.
Freida was born on September 12, 1937 in Gurdon, Arkansas to Charles James and Thelma Lee (Brown) Hutson. She graduated from Seagraves High School and the International Business School in Denton. She was co-owner of the Steak'n More Restaurant in Littlefield, TX for many years. She worked as a Human Service Specialist for the Federal Emergency Management Agency at the Texas National Processing Service Center from 1994 until she retired in 2007. She was a member of Southmont Baptist Church and also attended Denton Bible Church.
She had a passion for teaching junior high girls to love Jesus and live for the Lord, and taught Sunday School for many years. She was also instrumental in planting several churches. Frieda enjoyed music and traveling; she dearly loved family and friends and prayed for them faithfully.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Sarvis of Sanger, Tammy Denise Drachenberg of Krum, Pamela Jo Bell of Denton; son, Gordon Ray Taylor of Crossroads; brothers, Lawrence Leroy Hutson of Houston, Charles Nathan Hutson of Houston, Larry Brandon Hutson of Arkadelphia, AR, Jim Hutson of Houston, Tommy Joe Hutson of Houston; grandchildren, Nicholas Andrew Taylor, Tiffany Brooke McGuire, Jubal Noel Sarvis Bonny Hannah Pierce, Andrew Nathaniel Sarvis, Christy Denise Bridwell, Derek Ross Bridwell, Jacob Lee Bridwell, Savannah Shirrine Taylor, Zachary James Taylor, Desiree Rachell Taylor, Andrew Dryden, Jennifer Lynn Bell, Justin Robert Bell; nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy James Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 21, 2012 in the chapel of Denton Bible Church, 2300 E. University Dr., Denton. Rev. Al Camp will officiate the service. Visitation will follow the service.
